  • Liverpool’s Stanley Park is one of 17 parks to win the prestigious “Green Flag” award (BBC News)
  • In addition to decking over freeways, park advocates can lobby for mountain-biking under highways.  A recent article commented on the success of the I-5 Colonnade park in downtown Seattle.  The 7.5-acre park contains a mountain bike course, pedestrian walkways, bicycle commuter trails, off-leash area for dogs and an art installation.  Funding for the park came from the Pro Parks Levy. (The Washington Post)
