I wanted to let the readers of City Parks Blog know that after a great stretch at TPL’s Center for City Park Excellence, last week I switched jobs, and am now at EMBARQ, the World Resources Institute Center for Sustainable Transport. I’ll be working on sustainable urban transport, development and public space issues as they relate to public health and energy use in the developing world.
In the meantime, there may be some light posting to this blog as both The Trust for Public Land’s Center for City Park Excellence and City Parks Alliance (its producers) transition to allow for frequent posting on all of the same issues we’ve dealt with the in past – urban park trends, smart growth, transportation and other urban issues. (Perhaps this is good timing, as many readers may be checking out for the month of August anyway.)
I want to thank everyone for reading my posts over the last few years and for sending me information. I’ll be available at this email at EMBARQ and may be posting occasionally to its blog, The City Fix (www.cityfix.org) on some of the same and other issues I’ve written about here at City Parks Blog.
