The recent East coast snow storm has brought out a few cross-country skiers into urban parks. The New York Times City Room blog talked to some skiers in New York City’s parks.
“It’s a great feeling cross-country skiing in the city,” said Ms. Jewett, who lives on 107th Street and works as an administrator for a professor at Princeton. “While you’re skiing in the park, you look around and you feel like you could be anywhere, but you can take off your skis and step right onto the sidewalk.”
But soon the snow will be gone and the joggers will be back. Fun while it lasts for a few.
