  1. That’s unfortunate to hear about the Atlanta parks.

  2. Atlanta was planning a huge mulit modal park/rail system. I hope it hasn’t been put on hold.

  3. ^The system you’re referring to is the Beltline project – http://www.beltline.org/ – and I don’t believe that is necessarily tied to City’s financial well being. The City of Atlanta is experiencing a number of events outside of the economic troubles nation-wide that are hurting its budget. And unfortunately parks/rec departments are often the first to get cut. The Beltline is relying on other funding sources not related to the City’s budget I believe.
